DISTRICTS AND LOCATIONS
It's no secret that Kappa Kappa Gamma is a large organization with a vast reach, made up of outstanding women with limitless potential. Seeing how that translates to the day-to-day operations of our organization can be overwhelming.
When the Long-Range Planning Task Force pulled out the geographical map of Kappa, they challenged themselves to think outside of the box. They knew they needed to propose something that would properly distribute the weight load of the newly proposed volunteer roles.
The answer? Eliminate the province concept. Eliminate the seven regions. Create 14 districts.
By creating 14 districts, the number of chapters and alumnae associations supported within each district is manageable and allows for solid relationships to be built. It allows volunteers to specialize in one specific area, eliminating the seemingly overwhelming job, and gives them more flexibility by allowing them to serve in a role that fits their individual skills and time.
